Team and individual coaching
Individual Coaching
For engineering leaders building their own leadership — the parts of the job nobody quite trains you for. Holding a hard conversation instead of avoiding it.
Knowing when to step in with a team, and when to hold back. Handling the moments that test you as a leader, not just the ones that test your calendar.
This coaching draws on real leadership experience alongside formal training in psychosocial and coaching methods — not one or the other, but both together. It stays a conversation, but it goes as deep as is needed for the situation.
Where useful, the belief or identity beneath an issue gets explored as well — but always with a view to something you can actually change in your approach to work or life.
Common areas we work on:
Navigating a difficult conversation with a direct report or peer
Finding your own leadership style, rather than copying someone else’s
Managing the shift from individual contributor to people leader
Handling conflict, underperformance, or team tension with confidence
Building the self-awareness to recognise your own blind spots as a leader
Team Coaching
For teams where trust, communication, or working relationships need deliberate attention — before growth outpaces them, not after. This might mean working through a specific conflict between colleagues, or building the habits that let a team say what’s actually going on rather than absorb it quietly.
The goal isn’t a quick fix. It’s building the trust and self-awareness that lets a team keep working well together long after a coaching engagement ends.
Common situations this fits:Two team members whose working relationship has broken downA team that’s technically strong but quietly unhappy or disengagedCommunication that’s stopped being honest as a team has scaledA new team lead finding their footing with an established group
How Engagements work
Every engagement starts with a short conversation to understand what’s actually going on — no fixed package, no forced structure.
From there:Format: one-to-one or team sessions, in person or videoCadence: typically every 2–3 weeks, adjusted to what’s neededLength: most individual engagements run 5+ sessions to allow real change to take hold; team engagements are scoped to the situationConfidentiality: everything discussed in a coaching session remains confidential, in line with established coaching practice guidelines
